The new 2017/18 home shirt features a gradient pattern to the front, each of the hoops fades from black to yellow alternating in sides; creating a modern look compared to the three unequal size stripes featured on the previous shirt. A panel to the sleeves also includes this gradient pattern, while the rear is simply yellow in color finished with ‘Dortmund’ wording printed to the bottom. 
 

Like a traditional football shirt both the club crest and manufacturer's logo are located on the chest of the jersey and in this case are embroidered with excellent quality in the black and yellow colorway. Situated just beneath is the Evonik sponsorship logo, printed in full color for a premium finish to the home shirt.
